"I live with my two biggest supporters: Kenneth (husband) and Avril (daughter). Kenneth and I have been married since 1994 and were blessed with our little darling in 2003. Right after my daughter was born I began scrapbooking with some consistency but since January 2005 I became immersed in it. I work full-time and dedicate over 20 hours a week to scrapbooking. It is my much-needed creative outlet after a day of working with numbers. Of course, the best part is seeing how much my daughter loves to look at our albums. I would describe my style as eclectic and colorful. I love to play with color schemes and dig through my embellishment boxes for just the right finishing touch."

What is your inspiration for your scrapbooking?

The emotions I feel for my family are what inspire my layouts. I try to bring that emotion across in my layouts through the choices I make in color, typography and supplies.

What do you scrap the most?

I mostly scrap photos of every-day moments, especially those of my daughter. I am trying to capture the way she is now so that I can remember these little things when she is older.

Why did you start scrapbooking?

I started scrapbooking because my sister-in-law bought me a tiny little kit from the dollar store because she thought I would enjoy making a mini album of our vacation that year. I became instantly hooked on the thought of what all it would entail (having always been into some kind of crafting) so I went out and purchased tons of stuff to supplement that kit and created my first full-size layout instead. I never did make that mini-album as she intended but am forever grateful for the seed it sprouted.

What are your favorite tools, supplies, etc..

Tools --My favorite tools are punches (especially circles and flowers) and all forms of stamps. And of course, my tiny Fiskars which are awesome for all the cutting I love to do.

Supplies --My favorite supplies are brads. I have an ever-growing supply of them but do find that I use them on just about every layout I make. I'm so happy that they are now available in so many more options than when I first began.

Best organization tip?

Looking at my scrapping area, I would say I don't have any organization tips! But I do love to use the bead sorting boxes you can get for under $2 to organize any embellishment that will fit in them from ribbon to brads to flowers. I have a huge collection of these and always pick up a couple when they are on sale.
